Rebecca Harms, a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) became acquainted with HROMADA Skhid project and expressed her warm comments about it during her visit to Mariupol.

Ms. Rebecca visited Mariupol to discuss the public situation and investment projects that have been implemented in the coastal town. She spoke with volunteers working in the buffer zone, as well as with our coordinator Liudmyla Zavaliei about the importance and potential of  HROMADA Skhid project. She was interested in life of rural communities and about its highlighting in our newspaper, so we are looking forward to developing relationships and future possible cooperation.

Reference: Rebecca Harms is a German politician and documentary filmmaker. She served as Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 2004, Rebecca Harms led the Greens-European Free Alliance from 2016 to December 13, 2016, and currently she serves as co-chairperson of the delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.

Rebecca Harms is a sincere friend of Ukraine. She supported the Euromaidan, argued openly with the Russian authorities on the release of the Kremlin`s prisoners, called world leaders for their defense, in 2016 Rebecca received the award from the President of Ukraine «for a significant personal contribution to strengthening of the international authority of Ukraine, popularization of its historical heritage and present-day advances».
